Griffin had a wonderful Halloween. On Wednesday night, we all carved pumpkins. He really liked all the stringy insides of the pumpkins. I even think he stole a few seeds out of the bowl we were saving to roast later. He did not like that taste! But, he did love to see us scoop out all the pumpkin guts. We came out with some cute pumpkins this year. I roasted the seeds on Thursday and boy were they spicy. Slat ya momma is some hot stuff!
Grif and I got up early on Halloween and headed over the Sibcy Cline office to show him off in his elephant costume to all of Grandma's coworkers. He was a hit. We got so many compliments on the costume. Grandma took us to breakfast at the Echo and then we headed home for a big nap before trick-or-treat time. We ordered Chinese food, like we always do, set up the fire pit in the front yard, and turned on the scary music. Halloween was on a Friday night this year, so Mike was excited to be able to sit outside with the fire until all hours of the night with Nick and Paula Link. We didn't have very many trick-or-treaters this year, but we all had a great time. The Links' granddaughter, Anna, came over to trick-or-treat and she and Griffin had a great time playing together. The night was relatively warm and clear. It was a great night for all.
